Hirafuzaka is the Hirafu area’s main street that leads up to the Grand Hirafu ski lifts.

The town just recently finished moving the telephone poles and power lines underground. No wonder Hirafuzaka looks so tidy!

In fact, at the New Extension Opening Reception two weekends ago, Mayor Katayama of Niseko commented about the area’s recent development – about how the town completed the road heating installation and the aforementioned relocation of the electric lines.

And now that we have this new restaurant “HirafuZaka” on Hirafuzaka, he said that Hirafu has a brand new face to show to visitors.

Our Izakaya restaurant HirafuZaka looks like it is on the 1st (ground) floor…but since we are on a slope (Zaka of HirafuZaka means ‘slope’), the restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner to staying guests as well as visitors looking for casual Japanese dining with a satisfying menu variety. Popular for lunch are ramen noodles and katsudon pork cutlet over rice and hot pot for dinner. The spacious and modern dining hall with a beautiful Hirafu slope view offers a relaxed dining experience for guests to Niseko.
